I'm so going to Hell
I think I have managed to alienate almost my entire class today....but its not my fault they can't have an intelligent debate.
I love playing the Devils Advocate. I don't care what my person belief is, I will usually take whichever opinion is the minority in a classroom. What fun is a debate if everyone agrees? Plus, in order to have a reasonable/logicial opinion you must know the opposite view. Today we were discussing whether there are universal values, I argued there were (which surprisingly was the minority and I believe......thank you Doran Smolkin!). Everyone got pissed cuz they disagreed but they couldn't explain why they disagreed........this is third year shouldn't everyone be intelligent? Then we started talking about cultural globalization, I argued it was a good thing and that really pissed everyone off.
Is it bad that I have a warm fuzzy feeling in my tummy now?
