In celebration of my new camera purchase, I'm posting a LOT of pictures of my flock. Enjoy!
There are four players in this story. The starring role of Bright Green Budgie is played by Piper.
The role of Glutton Budgie is played by the heavier blue budgie known as Olio.
Playing his role of Terrified of Everything Budgie is Merlin, the blue/green scaredy bird.
And reprising the role of Cute But Terrible Bully Parrotlet is Captain Sir Francis Drake, who refuses to go by his more well known name of Drake.
Our story starts out with a shower while one of the humans in the house acts as a convienent perch.
You'll notice these blissful birds are Piper and Drake. Olio and Merlin prefer to bathe in the water dish.
Drake, looking pleasantly wet.
... and giving the evil eye to the camera.
It always fascinates me how brown they turn when wet.
Drake again, drying off.
Piper in all his splendid glory.

After such an exhausting shower, Piper takes a break.
*yawn* Budgie tongue!
And then he takes a nap. But not for long, for shortly comes ....
Dinner! Piper and Olio dig in to a tasty meal of cooked mush, made from Roudybush, Harrison's, a dash of Cinnamon, and three fruity Nutriberries. As you can tell, they hate it.
Notice the gunk of blurry Olio's beak. Yep, they hate it.
Enter Merlin. My sub sandwich looks terrifying, as does the plastic card case and Michael's rasor.
The horror!
Merlin makes it over to the bowl, but keeps glancing nervously at me.
Stealing a bite of food ....
...but his nerves can't take it and he returns to his cage. Perhaps the fact that Piper is flaunting sexy budgie butt at the camera is scaring him?
Enter our antagonist, Drake.
"I will have that bowl. It will be MINE! MUAHAHAHAHA!"
Drake scouts the site ...
... and moves in for the kill.
One budgie down, now the annoying Bright Green Budgie.
"Successful!"
"Truly I am King of the bowl."
His reign is shortened by a Bright Green Threat offscreen.
As Drake moves to protect his food, Olio moves in to snatch another bite.
"What an interesting piece of food on my foot!"
