Questions I never got around to answering from illucian. Sorry about that!
1. Which birds do you most enjoy working with?
I would have to say the lories. As fun and fascinating as our owls and parrots up at the Education Center are, those lories are hilarious. There is a barrage of silliness every time I enter that aviary. They're very interactive, and very smart.
2. If you were to add another bird to your own flock, what would it be?
Oh gee. That is a big debate between a cockatiel, a GCC, or a Lory. Should the day ever come that we finally have that aviary I've always wanted, I would like to have a macaw. But only, and only should we ever have that aviary.
3. What's your favorite Pokémon?
Eevee! And all it's evolutions.
4. What song would you use to describe yourself?
Perhaps Pirate Song ::walks off singing:: I wanna sing and dance, I wanna sing and dance, I wanna be a Pirate in the Pirates of Pinsance!
5. Where'd your username inspiration come from?
When I was creating my website and online gallery, I wanted to find a word I could use to both define my online presence and be fun. I love odd names, so I did several language searches. One, JEDI (Japanese-English), came up with quite a long list of words (formal and informal) from Japanese that meant artist. I ended up choosing a formal word that meant artist/storyteller/writer because I felt I did all three. And so I became Bokkaku. The name pretty much stuck, and everything online is me. I wasn't sure I liked it at first, but now I can't think of being anything else.
