Email != emo

In the hallway this morning:

Me: Oh hey, Jennifer. I got your email.
Jennifer: What? Who told you I liked emo? Was it [name]?
Me: What? I said I got your email.
Jennifer (slightly embarrassed): Oh!
Me: So, you like emo?
Jennifer (fleeing): My class is starting! See you!
