I went to Vinyasa yoga class this evening. I haven't been to this particular class in several weeks because I ended up working during it. I had been practicing Vinyasa yoga quite regularly at another studio before I moved to this state. I enjoy it vary much. The teacher of this class informed us that her last regular class at the studio would be next week. She has taken a job teaching at a YMCA 20 miles away. I am saddened by this news because I like my teacher and her's is the only vinyasa class at the local studio. I'm not sure what I want to do next. Her other classes are farther away. The one at the Y requires an 8 week commitment that might not be possible given my variable work schedule. Another point to consider is that she has been practicing yoga only a couple of years, and is still working on teacher training. In contrast I am going on 9 years. I realize that it is helpful to have someone guide me in my practice, but I also question if she is the right teacher for me. I guess I will shop around, and see if there are other classes for me nearby.

On a related note, my yoga teacher commented that I appear to have lost weight. She told me I don't need to lose weight, and she is concerned that I take proper care of myself. So that being said, I am looking for suggestions for nutrition resources and recipes. I have an active lifestyle, and I prefer not to eat a lot of meat.
