Some of my friends are hurting right now. Two couples and one friendship / mentorship have broken up in recent weeks. One of the relationships was unhealthy, and I think the separation will bring closer to a drawn out period of discontent and false hope that the relationship could be salvaged. However, I know the prcess itself is painful. The friendship and working relationship is sad because a lot of pain has been caused after the fact, and other people have been drawn into the situation and placed in the middle of it. I hope that my friends find the freedom they need.
In the midst of this I have found my own freedom. This week I was hired as technical coordinator of a stage company. On a part time basis, I'll be designing and technical directing a 9 production season. It's another step toward following my heart and making my dreams come true.
