Decisions
I have a big decision to make in the next couple of weeks. I have two options:
1. Complete a studio based special project spring semester, study sustainable design in Costa Rica for 10 weeks in the summer, and graduate in September.
2. Find something to further my career goals this summer, do a thesis (if the arc dept lets me, and I formulate an idea in time) or special project in the fall, maybe lighting design from the theatre dept. or something else that I want, and work part-time.
Option 1 gets me out the door sooner and on to life outside the university, I get to experience a new place and culture, and it might cost me more money, but I could also use student loans to pay for some if not all of it..
Option 2 could potentially move my career more in the direction that I want to go, but I have to find a way to at least break even financially for the summer.
For now I should be concerned with finishing fall semester. I don't have to have an answer to these questions until mid-January.
