OK...even though it looks close on the map...and it is in fact close...doesn't mean I will get there in a timely manner. I truly have a disability when it comes to directions...I have to laugh at myself..I was wondering around in circles this afternoon after I had successfully found the New Church and the Royal Palace. THey are using the church as a museum space. I could only take pictures in a few designated areas in the church...not the exhibit...which focussed on Morrocco...clothing...jewelry...statues...writings...lots of historical information...they had music from the region playing and beautiful hanging lamps throughout the gallery space. After that I tried to check out the Royal Palace...but that was already closing for the day...so then I went in search of the Red Light District and the leather area. That is when I got lost...and I was so close to it from my starting point...I love to do things the hard way...kicks pigeon...those nasty things are everywhere...I saw an old Chinese man get attacked by a flock of them when he kindly tried to feed one a piece of bread...I think he quickly regretted that choise and probably needed a defribilator soon after. I eventually found the Red Light District...that was sureal...women in windows grabbing there crotches beckoning passersby in right across from the Old Church...yes...there is an Old Church as well...and this scene is sandwiched between cafe's selling pot and shrooms and swwet shops with enormous multi-colored treats straight outta Willy Wonka...ah...delights to satiate all one's desires...it sent my head spinning...I had to eat...low blood sugar has been an ongoing problem with this trip...I walk too much and wait far too long to eat...not a good combination for me. So I go to this restaraunt on the Warmeostratt (leather strip) and had a burger the size of my head...it was called the Priscilla...I couldn't resit...it had a strange texture...kinda meatloafy...is that a propper adjective...well...it is now. THe food was good and the service was friendly once again...Dutch men make me feel pretty...it's been a while since I felt sexy...I need to bottle this up and have it available for rainy days...interesting side note with the cafe'...they had bear-like fur that is hanging in the main dining area...and writing...lie someone traced it with their finger...Ï love bears...cute...
I'm planning to head back up to the Warmeostratt tonight...the leather bars don't open up until 11. I do need to make this an earlier evening..I was up again late last night...right after I got off of the computer last night...Fred showed up behind me...that was fun...I'm a little tender today...he plays rough:)
