Mark sighed and tried to escape Maureen's grasp. She was 'resorting to desperate measures', as she put it, and was currently dragging him up the stairs to his old loft... where Roger was.
"Maur, I don't want to talk to him. He doesn't want to talk to me. Why can't you just let us be?" Mark asked.
"Because this is stupid." Maureen answered, stopping in front of the door to the loft. "You two have been best friends for too long - you need to TALK about this. Please?" She bit her lip and looked at him pleadingly. Mark sighed.
"Fine, I'll talk to him." Mark sighed, and reached to open the door. He paused with his hand on the doorknob. "Maureen?"
"Yeah?"
"Wish me luck." Mark tried to smile. Maureen smiled back and kissed him softly on the cheek.
"Good luck." she whispered. Mark took a deep breath, and opened the door...
