Interesting . . .

The dog trainer called this afternoon, and the first thing she said after identifying herself was, "I LOVE your dog!"  I said I love him, too, and I miss him like crazy!  Diane said he's eager to please, willing to do anything she asks (so far--I'd like to see her get him on the gazebo bench across the street, b/c that seems to put him in shutdown mode), and he's very smart.  He's doing great with her, already walking much better on the leash.  His two big problems are separation anxiety (not unusual for a Shepherd) and snapping at other dogs when they bump him or get close to his face.  He's making progress on the bumping part, because Diane has been taking 2 dogs with her in the truck when she goes places, and they're forced to sit next to each other.  Even though they're restrained on short leashes, they bump into each other when the truck bounces or goes around curves.  This is only day 3 with her, and Hardy isn't snapping as much as he was.
