(no subject)
well, i can't talk much now, because mom is going absolutely postal with stress and in a minute i have to shower, eat a pb&j sandwich, chug as much water as is humanly possible (i'm going for 2 liters...that's what i drank the other day) until fasting time sets in, and go to bed. to reiterate one last time...
i will be leaving the house at 4:30 am to arrive at uw-hospital at 5:30. from there i will register in the first day surgery ward, and meet with an anesthesiologist. surgery is scheduled for 7:30 am and will take 2-3 hours. from there i will go to the recovery room and stay there till i wake up and am stabilized, then i will move to my own hospital room. i will stay overnight there with mom. sometime tuesday afternoon, most likely, i will be discharged. i'll be home late tuesday, but mom (in her postal state-of-mind) has stated that she will discourage visitors on tuesday. on wednesday and after you should be fine--but again, this is my mother we're talking about. use your discretion. we've been lucky with electricity so far, but it could very well be shut off next week, so be forewarned. you can try to call but i can't guarantee that our phones will be working.
