Is it too late to do a "Year in Review" post?

And simultaneously catch up on all the things I've ignored since Christmas, here is my post of awesome things
It's hard to believe that I only rejoined fanfiction this year. It seems like I've been doing this forever. January Brought me Merlin, Spring brought the starkid productions, summer gave me all the parties and fic fests and a hell of a lot of fun with my boys, and this fall we nearly drowned SoCal, watched Inception, and tried not to fall in love with Hawaii Five-O.
First things first: Merlin.
It took me approximately two weeks to watch season 1 and 2, and then I spent another month reading fics. My sister and I spent way too much time on youtube watching snippets of the "Merlin Secrets and Magic" and all the fanvids and such. I remember looking at the clock and going "Sam, it's five! We need to do homework! I have a paper due tomorrow!" almost every day.
And then the countdown to season three. Oh my god, there was so much squee and excitement I nearly passed out like an over-caffeinated squirrel.
Season Three gave us so much awesome:
- Bradley and Colin's Challenge Quest, or as I like to refer to it: The BBC's plan to get Colin and Bradley to Come Out on National Television.
- This man:

And then Inception came out.
The first time I saw the film, I was kind of sketchy on the plot, only because of this:
There was so much damn suit porn in that movie it was almost unholy. (I blame cherrybina for the suit kink, thanks very much. Actually, I blame her for a lot of things fandom-related.)
At first, I was like, Tom Who? And why are we saying he's so awesome? But because of all of Bina's picspams I came 'round. LET'S ALL THANK HER FOR HER PERSERVERANCE. ♥

Tumblr also happened this year. I love tumblr with all my heart. In fact, it was the thing I was thankful for at thanksgiving dinner. Thanks to fuckyeahsodomites and fuckyeahtomhardy, I can have a daily dose of hot boys whenever I want.
Also thanks to tumblr (by way of Bina, since she was the one who went to the hitRECord conference) I found the real video for that awesome gif we have of Joe dancing!

Lastly, we made huge strides in legalizing the gay this year.
California struck down Prop 8, the senate voted to end DADT, we are almost in the clear. There was a scare for a while when the Walker case went to the district court of appeals, but the ruling was upheld. HOORAY!
Happy 2011 everybody! Let's hope this year is full of pretty boys, the hottest porn you've ever read, and that Bradley James and Colin Morgan get caught snogging on set while filming season 4 ♥
