Aw man i got home about ten minutes ago and made
myself a muenster cheese and honey ham sandwich on toasted bread with a
couple of vienna finger cookies on the side... o the deliciousness-man
i love sandwiches-so darn good. Anyway, as i sit here infront of my
computer, i ponder about my current problem: at the present moment i am
getting my college applications ready to send, (not at this exact
moment, but you get the gist of it) and i met with Mr. Sullivan, my
guidance counselor, the other day about this too, but i have a problem.
Im applying to three schools, MIT in Massachusetts, UF in Gainsville,
and Embry-Riddle in Daytona. MIT has a 16% acceptance rating!!! and
while i would really like to go there, and i think i have a shot, i not
totally counting on it. Both the University of Florida and Embry-Riddle
are in Florida and im almost positive that i could get in to both, UF
for sure-thats my fallback school. Anyway my problem is not getting in,
since thats the easy part-but A. deciding which to go to if im accepted
to multiple schools, B. Money, and C. Boston's is really, really cold.
All three are great engineering schools, with Embry-Riddle being the
best(in the country) for the type i want to do (Aerospace) but MIT is
one of, if not THE, most prestigious schools in the World, seriously no
joke. Both MIT and Embry-Riddle are private schools, meaning that money
is a big factor, MIT costs 42,000 a year, insert KIP "jeez" here. I
qualify for 100 percent bright futures so UF would be the viable option
should it come down to money concerns- Though my pops says that money
should be the last thing from my mind at the moment. But wait, theres
more. Should i use my bright futures option theres a catch-darn that
fine print. From the time you graduate you have 3 years to begin using
the scholarship and 4 years to use it up from the time you start using
it, which, as some may have guessed, interferes with this wierd thing
us mormons like to do, namely a mission. If i go to college immediatly
following highschool then i will probly go to college for a year, go on
mission for two years, then finish college, if thats the case then i
will only get to use 2 of 4 years of scholarship money-total suckage.
None of this matters tho if i go out of state for school-life is too
complicated.
So if anyone knows what i can do, has any suggestions, or knows of
another in a similar plight plz drop a line-my guess is that a little
prayer may be needed, but thats just my thought.

P.S. Those who may be complaining about the length of my entries please
leave all complaints in the suggestions box, however the box is
periodically thrown in the incinerator so some complaints may not be
gotten to, sry.
