I couldn't sleep a couple nights back so I started working through my 2+ year backlog of photos that I've yet to place online. Here's a pile of photos at the Hubbard glacier from my Alaskan cruise last year. No clever commentary to go along with it, as it's a huge ass pile of ice that doesn't do much. -
God DAM Festival
Good: Getting good food from Les Halles by celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain. And for a DC restaurant, the prices were very reasonable for the level of food offered. The fries were certainly distinctive there, and paired with the steaks it was an interesting experience.

Summer !Vacation

AWA-BAM!
Since last year's AWA was pretty mellow, I didn't have particularily have high hopes for this year. But it decided to surprise me by much drunken awesomeness!

My company took us all to go see Gabriel Iglesias at DC Improv. Very funny stuff, esp his nickname of Fluffy added a whole new dimension to the jokes for me. I might've been the only person who was amused at his tales of how he was unable to get fluffy.com for his web site. Random stuff
Well after the funness last Friday, the police officer was good enough to get the information of the offender, and call that individual and offer two scenarios: 1) he be cited for a hit and run and deal with potential jail time or 2) he cave, give me his information, and pay for my repairs so that I don't press charges. Trip to California
California was a blast, got to meet up with lots of people that have moved out there to the nice sunny areas over there. Got to ride in the infamous 2L33T4U Porsche. Ate at many fabuluous restaurants. Travelled around Napa valley sampling the wines of the area. Learned to speak entirely in the passive voice ( Read more... )
