My web browser and I are so not getting along tonight.
Also I updated the
list with some news about pilot pickups, one FOX and ABC, and a couple for CBS.
Tomorrow's tv alerts:
8pm AI
8pm Gilmore Girls (series finale)
9pm Dancing With the Stars
9pm House
9pm Veronica Mars
10pm L&O:SVU
10:01pm Boston Legal
So today was the beginning of upfronts, and today was NBC's turn.
Big News:
* Friday Nights Lights lives up to its name.
* Law and Order: CI has been renewed but original airings will be shown on USA first and then repeated on NBC on “drama repeats” scheduled for Saturday night (I am assuming)
* A slight time slot changes for Thursday night comedy line up. Scrubs will only have 18 episodes and most likely be the final season.
* 30 half-hours of the hit series "The Office," including five hour-long episodes, and also has increased the season order for "My Name Is Earl" to 25 episodes.
* Bionic Woman and Life will repeat on SCI FI and USA after fresh episodes air on NBC.
* NBC "bulks up" with 30 combined episodes of "Heroes" and "Heroes: Origins," an innovative new spin-off that each week will introduce a new character -- one of whom will be chosen by viewers through the "Heroes" website on NBC.com to become a cast regular the following season.
* Not surprisingly Studio 60 is not the schedule. Too bad. Just about this time last year, it was the show which had all the buzz and high hopes attached to it. I am sad to see it didn’t come to close to its amazing potential.

Comments:
*I am not really sure about FNL on Fridays especially since Las Vegas (!) airs before it. A strange mix.
*A bit puzzled by NBC’s decision to pair Bionic Woman with Life. To me, Heroes and Bionic Woman would have been a perfect mix.
*I am glad to see The Office move to 9pm, which could mean that next season I could have a bit more luck actually watching it live. 8pm time slot on Thursdays, if it remains mostly intact from this past year, is so jammed filled with stuff.
*Medium on Sundays? Talk about burying the show but then again it will start in Jan, when many shows are on hiatus/repeatville, still it is Sunday so it could be a hit or miss.
*Lipstick Jungle airing after Medium on Sundays? NBC never makes any sense when it comes to pairing up shows.
