Okay, so it's still not an official pickup annoucement but Kevin Reilly, NBC's president, did have some promising words about FNL's fate: "I can't help believing that Friday Night Lights or 30 Rock can be a St. Elsewhere or a Cheers, and that rising ratings next year will lift all boats."

It is something to hold onto. Something

* The opening shot of this episode make me crave summer so so much. Oh man. I need the warmth and the beach.

* Michael was all kinds of hot tonight especially when he spoke to Spanish. Thinking!Intense!Michael is all kinds of yummy.

* Linc. I love seeing the older brother kick some butt and act like the brother who spent most of his life doing bad things. Also it was really good to see Mahone interact with him.

* Mahone. Dear writers, please bring him back next season. Please.

* Kellerman. I am just glad that they didn't show an actual suicide. I really flinched when the gun appeared next to his temple, and I am so glad that they cut to the next scene.

* Sucre. :( Surce + Michael = Awww.

* I loved loved how they used some great flashbacks from s1 in regards to the T-Bag/Michael rivarly and man, it made me want to watch s1 again.

* T-Bag/Michael scenes. Holy crap. I loved that the writers revisited their whole contentous relationship and really got to the simmering anger and disgust between the two. Damn Michael, that knife through the arm. Damn.

* It was nice to have Bellick back with other characters again - I enjoyed his stuff with Mahone but we have been overdue for some Bellick/Michael scenes.

* You always know when you are watching a show on FOX, when the only news station you see on tv is FOX news.

* Kellerman probably won't make it past the finale but it is nice to see that he might be doing something half decent for a change.

pb episodes, 30 rock, friday night lights, tv alerts, spoilers
