Hope to post more before the end of next week...
I'm in a funk, personally, and therefore my reading has been suffering as a result... *thanks for suffering through my self-pity moment* Now, back to our regularly scheduled entry...
My room [on the upside] is beginning to look more presentable because I am finally starting the long, drawn out process of organizing and documenting my books and manga!!! I will know where books are and will not have tear up my room to re-read a beloved romance novel, and I will also ensure no more duplicates will be purchased... I might have done more organizing last week but was easily distracted with books (in some cases) I had not looked at or re-read in four to five years - it was reuniting with long lost friends... =D
first harlequin: Taggart's Woman by Carole Mortimer
favourite Penny Jordan: Passionate Relationship aka 1000th Harlequin Presents title
favourite harlequin authors: Candace Schuler, Lori Foster (who made good), Helen Bianchin, Barbara Delinsky (who also made good, but I prefer her backlist), Jayne Ann Krentz (like backlist and current body of work...), Penny Jordan, Vicki Lewis Thompson (prefer her series books) and Diana Palmer to name a few...
one of my favourite Canadian authors: Marsha Canham (Blood of Roses and Pride of Lions rock!!!)
first Nora Roberts: Honest Illusions
favourite Jane Austen: Pride & Prejudice
favourite non-romance novel: To Kill A Mockingbird
favourite Loveswept author (Does anyone remember Bantam's romance series line? I refuse to part with the 20 to 30 I own because the series is OPP....): Laura Taylor
And sometimes even educational...like learning the correct spelling of brouhaha (Thank you to Iris Johansen for this one...)!
