Chazz is pale as his fingers curl around the edge of the hospital bed, jaw visibly clenched shut and brow furrowed in a frown, and all the doctor can say is, "You should consider trying to lose some weight, Mr. Michaels. With the jumps you make in your profession, your extra body-fat is not your friend."
Chazz fixes him with an icy blue stare, just as the doctor adds, "Perhaps it would have saved you today."
Jimmy watches, shocked, as he continues to manhandle the swollen ankle, and blood trails down Chazz's chin from where one of his teeth has embedded itself in his lip.
