Jimmy was comfortable in front of the camera... on ice.
It was nothing like this, just a camera and an interviewer. He felt so naked without his costumes and glitter.
"What's the best part?"
Seeing the children's smiles, expressing something pure in an impure world... his father's words echoed through his head, but spun away quickly in his nervousness. Not one practiced response stuck.
But he had to say something...
"I guess the best thing about figure skating is it keeps you from being fat."
As soon as he said it, he knew he'd be hearing it from his father later.
