Aaahoo, werewolves of London

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween or Halloween weekend, depending on when you did something to celebrate this fine, Pagan holiday. Zach and I never did get a chance to go out trick-or-treating, though the idea had been discussed. I felt like it was the last time I could go trick-or-treating around Cranford. Sara told me we'd get a lot of shit from ppl saying we were too old to be begging for candy door-to-door...but today was making me feel very nostalgic for Cranford, even though we haven't left yet.

Incase you're out of the loop, my parents are moving to Dallas, Texas this coming summer as my dad's company moved everyone else there about a year ago and he got his group to stay for Zach's senior year. At that time I will most likely have the job I interviewed for (see below) and will find somewhere in NJ to live that isn't 424 Casino Ave.

Anyway, so while we didn't go out pretending to be little kids trick-or-treating, we did carve pumpkins. We came up with these:

Mine...

and here's Zach's.

I didn't really label the things we carved because I wanted prove that ppl know what they are, so let me know if I'm wrong and our designs are a lil obscure. My dad didn't end up carving his pumpkin since we spent all evening fixing the cabinet doors the painters messed up (We've been redoing our kitchen for a while now, I'll take/post pictures of the finished product once they install the windows and it's all back together)

So while carving I had to answer the door a few times to give kids candy after school, and a few times kids would scream at me saying how I was their teacher or asking if I remembered subbing for their Social Studies class. It was quite amusing. When I came back into the kitchen the first time Zach said, "and that's why you have to answer the door every time" cuz I caused quite a commotion.

I could probably go on forever in this entry since I fail at posting, as usual, but I'll leave you with an update on my employment status since I promised. I've been substitute teaching about 4 days a week give-or-take, which has been quite fun and also sometimes less-fun. But I also had two awesome interviews with some ppl in Paramus who want to hire me to do neurofeedback with them. Neurofeedback is basically EEG-biofeedback, that is, you hook someone up to an EEG (electroencephalogram) and then have them play a video game that's tied into the readout in such a way that something desirable happens when their brain waves are within the pre-determined range that they should be to not have whatever mental disorder they're being treated with. You can Google all of this and read as much or as little as you want, but it's really cool stuff that can basically treat/cure many many things better than medication and with lasting results. So at my second interview they basically said they were really interested in hiring me, since it's such a perfect fit for my BCS and computer background, and even my yoga one, but they aren't ready to hire just yet. When they are, however, they'll pay to train me and all that jazz.

Okay, I'm subbing in the morning and between a crazy week last week and the time change I slept far too much last night and the night before so now I'm not tired...but I will be tomorrow...g'night
