I'm bored

I've got nothing to do but wait...for my boss to finish up with his clients, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Mergler. I'd leave but I have a question on a return and don't want to interrupt. It sure was nice to catch up with Ron, and his wife is sweet. They have a cute little girl-didn't quite catch her name. I saw her pic, though. Speaking of more party friends, last night on the way home I went to Leeann Chin in Brookdale, and finally saw Ryan Boyle. He asked if I was still at Cheapo(I used to give him the hookup). Then he gave me the hookup, so I went home happy. I miss that-giving friends deals. We were terrible though, especially with each other. I especially got a sweet deal from Rose, my old partner in crime. Right before she left, I got like, 20 CDs for 2.95. That was sweet. Theft? Al(owner of Cheapo) would have fired us on the spot! Did I care? No, I hated the old bastard. He always made sure everyone knew that they could be replaced at any time. Made ya feel real good. Always coming up with ridculous schemes, and trying to make us do them. He (I fought so hard with him, he just gave up) at one time, wanted me to get promo copies for every new disc for every store, and then I would let the stores play only those discs for a week until the next new releases came out the following week. (!) I would have been massacred, not only by the employees whose main source of getting through the day was picking their own music to play: but also by the labels, who(most) wouldn't give us the time of day because we bought and sold promos. That's a big nono in the music biz. If we hadn't done that, we would've had all kinds of cool in-stores(ala Fetus) I would've had more paid windows to do, ads in the paper, you name it. But Al wanted that money. Although it was all pure hypocrisy, because those same record label employees would just get friends and family to sell their promos for them. Those were the best "buys"-we'd all have dibs before they even hit the floor. Customers rarely got the good stuff; but that's true in all used stores.Anything collectibe went straight to Al-except when I got wise and found out that as long as he got a few every week, we'd sell a few to each other. So I have the Replacements Whan the Shit Hits the Fans-on cassette. Doh! Okay-I'm interrupting them. I wanna go home!
