A crazed nutbag committed an act of suicide-terrorism against the IRS. He was a self-avowed communist who specifically talked about hating George W. Bush in his suicide note

The middle class is persecuted by an impossibly complex tax code and a White Elephant (IRS) that stomps on them, while crony capitalism dishes out the proceeds to corrupt and incompetent business men.
I didn't read anything particularly political (left/right/democrat/republican/communist) in his ranting. George W. Bush was mentioned only as a "puppet" (to corporations) and I guess he decided Obama is too. (It seems the letter was written some time ago)
He ends his screed by praising communism and criticizing capitalism.
He was clearly a lunatic who isn't representative of any political group, left or right. But someone who was engaging in a sleazy and cynical attempt to smear their opponents by saying they believe the same thing as a crazed terrorist could find quotes to imply he was on the left, and other quotes to imply he was on the right. In reality, he was just crazy.
"He ends his screed by praising communism and criticizing capitalism."
It's completely ambiguous whether he meant any praise towards communism, especially given the whole letter is devoid of anything that would indicate so.
I'm gonna have to agree here. You might be reading too much into what was just intended as a comparative quote, wherein he thought he was making a clever play on words.
Of course, I'm not saying he WASN'T a communist. I'm just saying, his suicide note doesn't really prove whether he is or isn't.
The only thing it proves, really, is that he was a deeply disturbed individual, who had some very strong grudges against his government. "Crazy," I get. "Communist?" Eh,..not-so-much.
I wonder if there's a statical analysis correlating increased tax rates with increased crazy-killing-sprees.
Texas doesn't even have a state income tax! Just imagine if that guy lived in NYC... when I worked in CT and lived in Manhattan, I had federal, CT state, NY state and NY CITY income taxes withheld from my paychecks.
I'm pretty frustrated with taxes myself... well, that combined with seeing all the myriad of ways the government can waste or just flat-out lose all that money. Add in a little crazy and a couple incidents with the IRS (which makes the DMV look easy), and I can totally understand where this guy was coming from.

Gah!!!
No you can not "understand where this guy was coming from!" !?? You are a sane person, who has seen first hand what that kind of act can do to peoples' lives.
Understanding and even agreeing with some of his points, I'll give you. But PLEASE, for the love of all that is good in this world, don't YOU say you understand where a freaking terrorist is coming from!
He was an EVIL person. And you are the furthest thing from it.
Looks like your prediction was accurate, whatever the guy's political leanings were. I heard someone on the radio this morning call him a teabagger, and at least one commenter on the Agitator called him a libertarian.

If you read his suicide note, your statement appears to be extremely misleading. Unless it's based on other information?
