A shitty time
So I am a little bitter now, but I have cooled off a bit.
So AU has screwed us this week. Student teachers are not supposed to have to pay to stay for the week of Spring Break. This is true, except for meals. They just cut us loose. I understand that there is a meal transfer form to transfer meals from one week to another. I found out about this a little late. No one told us about this. I would have been fine if they werent going to provide food, but when I know that student teachers had meals last year someone should have told us; college of education, res. life, someone.
The next item of bitterness came last night, mainly at about 4am when I was sick, not AU's fault. However, last night was the power outage. I am fine with killing power, even when I am here, but the email said that it wouldn't happen if the temperature was going to be cold. It was, in the 20s. No power also meant no heat. At 4am as I was ill, my room was about 58. Alsong with being ill meant a trip to the bathroom. There are safety lights in the halls for lighting when the power goes out. Guess what, those lights were not working. They also weren't working at 1am when I got back. Campus is very creepy when there are no lights on in the building and all of the white noise is gone.
This year has started to tank.
