So, I've been following the release of Nishi's, Ai no Mukidashi as closely as possible over the last few months, and ordered the DVD as soon as it became available. I'm sure like a few of you, I'm dissapointed to see that at the moment there are no subtitles listed on the disc. Sooo... without any real expectations I emailed
madman entertainment who have a fantastic Easter Eye section of DVD releases here in Australia.
I emailed them with this:

Hi, my name is Cassie.
I have a question regarding a movie coming out in Japan in July, 'Ai no Mukidashi'. (
http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/switch-language/product/B002AE5A7M/ref=dp_change_lang?ie=UTF8&language=en%5FJP)
I was wondering if madman would look to release it under it's Eastern Eye lable. I have read several reveiws of the film and its supposed to be fantastic! Winning many awards in different film festivals. It is a very LONG movie coming in at around 4hours long. But people say that the time flys by. (There is areveiw on IMDB here =>
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1128075/)
The trailer for the film can be found here =>
http://www.azmovies.net/love-exposure.html The film stars
Takahiro Nishijima, a popular Japanese idol from the jpop/rock group AAA, and
Hikari Mitsushima who portrayed Sayu Yagami in the Death Note movies.
The director of the film,
Sion Sono, is a renown director in Japan, having directed other cult hits such as Suicide Club and Noriko's Dinner Table, though acording to reveiws, 'Ai no Mukidashi' is his best yet.
I have been checking the internet thouroughly to find info on this movie and it's DVD release, and i am in serious doubt that the Japanese release of the film will have english subtitles.
I think it would a terrible shame if this movie and its wonderful cast was not released mainstream to the western world. This movie needs to be appreciated, and i really hope Eastern Eye will be the ones to do it.
Thankyou for your time.
I hope to hear back from you.
Cassie

Dear Cassie,
Thanks for your email. I’m actually about to review this film as I’ve heard lots of good things. Cheers for the extra recommendation!
Since you are in Melbourne - it will be playing at the Melbourne Film Festival in a month!

Christian

SOOO according to Madman, Ai no Mukidashi is going to be appearing at the Melbourne Film Festival!!! Now, I can't be 100% sure until the 10th of July as that's when the FULL program will be released in The Age newspaper, and online, but I'll be sure to keep an eye out.
I can only assume, that if they're playing it at a film festivalit will have subtitles... right?
I would love to see it with subs atleast once, if the DVD will not have them :(
Well that's all for now, I will update with further information!
