Though the big ones still surprise me, especially when I have my hand on my belly and feel it from the inside and the outside, today is the first day I feel sort of used to feeling my kid kick. It's neat. Kicks are always reassuring, but today they feel comforting. Like when you hug your significant other or a really good friend ( Read more... )

I'm telling you, you should carry twins some day. It's reassuring until one of them is moving under my ribs and the other is poking me in the pelvis. It's so, so weird. I mean one will kick and I'm like, oh okay, this is the spot he'll be kicking. Then brother starts in and it's feet EVERYWHERE.

I'm still not used to it. It's really funny to me though when they push at the bed. If I lay on my side it's like they know and they hate it.

i think i'll leave the devil twins to you, thank you very much. i honestly can't imagine having twice the weirdness going on in my belly.

haha pushing at the bed. how strange.

mine hasn't really done anything super abnormal, but it still freaks me out to imagine her doing what feels like a kick with the one, then the other foot, then headbutting me right after. i'm like, "damn girl, you're going to burst something!"

god, twins. weirdweirdweird!!

when are you due?

July-ish. With twins they say to expect a month early, but we'll see. My body has shown NO SYMPTOMS of early labor. So, I think they're in there pretty tight.

I really wish I had just one baby sometimes so I could know what body part was touching where. The weirdest things they do is the bed push. If something is jabbing into my stomach, aka a teddy bear limb for example, they will push at it. Or I rest my stomach on a pillow and they'll kick that. Then I'll get what feels like them petting the interior of my stomach and that's the strangest. The pokes and jabs are fine. It's the long movements across or up and down that freak me out.

Also, when are you due? I totally meant to ask that one. I feel compelled to ask about names, but since we don't know I have no idea why you would know. I really should just assume parents are hoping the right name comes out at the right time.

i'm due august and i can't wait. i want out of work!!

i'm going to try to get mine to kick at things. that sounds interesting. petting the interior, holy shit dude, that is wild. my weirdest feeling is what i'm assuming is her turning around. it's like an undulation and is just...weird as hell.

names, oh boy. we have two we're holding on to, but i'm kind of backing out of the one my husband really likes. i just don't know yet! know any good girl names? my name is linnea and i love how it's kind of usual and want that for my kid, but haven't been able to get a good one.

boy names. hmmm...if we were having a boy we were thinking about roland, balthazar (because we're mean), and i really love the name henry.

Mike says our cat protests or he really like the name Meow. Sadly we both have horribly boring names. Michael Brandon and Emily Nicole. Seriously. The only way we'd be more boring is if he was John and I was Suzi or some crap. I mean, really. Boring.

We keep throwing around Remington because it shortens to Remy. Which we like. Mike keeps coming back to Archer or Fletcher. I do like Henry too but I'm also a huge Henry Rollins fan so I have to ask myself, is that normal to name your child after a man with the world's largest neck?

I am completely stumped on girls names. I am, in general, so pleased I am not having girls. I mean, if I had, HOORAY GIRLS. But boys, after it sunk in mind you that not only was it boys but TWO BOYS, I was quite pleased.

my dad wanted to name me suzie. not even susan (which isn't much better), but suzie. uggggg. my dad is an idiot though.

remington is pretty bad ass. and ARCHER, very nice. not only is that a great show, but it is a cool name. i don't know any archers. i like it.

our last name is also a noun, so we kind of have to be careful with names.

i'm thankful i'm having a girl because we really don't have any boy names we could agree on. we were pretty much stuck on moira (like moira kelly), but it suddenly doesn't feel like THE name. my great grandmother's name is matilda and i really like that, but it's also not the 100% name for me.

i also don't envy your circumcision debate. i was kind of worried about that if mine was a boy.
