Graduate school is getting better. The first month was rough, I’m not really sure of all the components that went into making it that way, but it was. Little by little I’ve started enjoying working problems again. Sometimes you just have to hope that being annoyingly persistent and stubborn will compensate for lack of brilliance. The boy and I have joined the bandwagon and gotten netflix. It really is a delightful service, with tomes and tomes of History Channel, A&E, and Biography. So many nummies. Last weekend was the Tsars of Russia. I find watching old history videos comforting in an odd way. They are a tangible reminder that at one point your parents and grandparents were young and stupid as well. It just makes the continuum of life seem more real, and puts things into perspective, or maybe I’m just strange. Well actually I know I’m strange, as my husband just reminded me. We’re odd together, but very happily so.
