The boy and I are 99% moved from his old apartment to our new one. Moving is a highly annoying task as always, but we both are really enjoying the new apartment, despite the inevitable sticker shock of moving from the Midwest to the west coast. However, having the luxuries of a washer, dryer, dishwasher and garbage disposal makes me a very happy girl indeed. We have two guinea pigs, Mephisto (Meep) and Pandora (Pan). They also make me exceedingly happy. They really are very sweet little creatures, and while my biological clock is in no way shape or form ticking, they do fulfill a little emotional niche. Otherwise, we really are enjoying our happily boring life. I’ve discovered I like sushi, and there is plenty of it to be found in Seattle. Life is pretty wonderful right now.
