diamond . heart . lotus . mind / om mani padme hum

it was merely an act on the spur of the moment. while getting frustrated with work problems and computer hang-ups, there was a subtle stir in my sub-consciousness. such a perfect opportunity presented itself in the form of an kind email from a virtuous friend... why not act upon it and just do it? after all life is short and time of death uncertain... eventually, that spur of the moment became a greater cause for goodness.

i am talking about this precious opportunity to learn tibetan heart yoga, art of giving and taking.

having learnt yoga from numerous teachers, no single yoga class moves my body and mind the way tonight class did. of course, there was always the general good bodily feeling of having done some superb stretching and smooth breathing but very seldom was my mind moved. today both my body and mind moved, in harmony.

correct me if i am wrong but this is the way i am seeing this art of yoga:

tibetan heart yoga is like 3-in 1 instant quick fix. first, it is one good workout for the body. second, it is a form of daily meditation on compassion and wisdom. third, it accumulates vast merits through generating kind heart of giving and taking.

although this was my first time, i can deeply feel its resounding effect. sure, i read a couple chapters of Tibetan Book of Yoga, but nothing really beats the real thing. ok i must confess that i din catch everything but this was a positive start for something bigger out there. may the force be with us...

thank you yp
