Buick!
We went over to Granita's today to trade money for car. Woo hoo! Had a nice long visit with her; sadly, Mary slept the whole time we were there, so we couldn't visit with the non-walking wounded too. Maggie was terribly charming and adorable (until the end of the visit when naplessness caught up). Next week we'll have to do the DMV/insurance tango to get everything all official and legal, but we are well on our way to having an appropriate vehicle for a family of four.
Not long after we got home, Juanell called--apparently Granita had phoned her to...gloat is too strong of a word, but...hmmm, brag?...to brag that she got to spend the afternoon with Maggie. Very pleased that Maggie made a good impression--I do not want to be the one whose kid makes everyone wince.
