Recipe: pork meatballs

Apr 02, 2009 18:06

Writing this down because the whole family liked it, and I want to be able to recreate it.

Mix together:
about a pound of ground pork
one egg
1 t ginger
1 T soy sauce

In skillet, heat:
couple tablespoons oil
splash sesame oil

Toss in a couple of cloves of coarsely chopped garlic and let it sizzle.

Form pork mixture into 1-inch balls and place in skillet. Brown, turning gently.

Meatballs to a 9x13 pan and put in a 350 oven. Return skillet to range and make a roux with the residual oil and a couple tablespoons flour. Add about a cup of chicken stock, deglaze, reduce.

I served the meatballs & sauce over angel hair pasta, with peapods on the side.
