The best customer service you never had

Took the bus to work today, because I had to go to the bloodbank afterwards. Because I had an extra hour before my appointment, I decided to head to the Chinese supermarket to do my groceries - I'm planning on making okonomiyaki this weekend. :Db

Anyway, I had my list of ingredients and a faint hope that I'd recognise them once I got inside. No luck, though... the only thing I managed to locate was the dashi. Shouldn't be a problem, right? I had the names of all the other things I needed, so I thought I'd just ask one of the sales clerks. Pft, only not. I asked one of the ladies, and she only pointed vaguely towards the Japanese section, with the message that if it wasn't there, they didn't have it. Riiiiiight. Because things like tuna are purely Japanese, of course!

In other words: either tomorrow or the day after I'm driving to the other two Asian supermarkets in town. Hopefully they'll have the things I'm after. *fingers crossed!*
