Caesar = Christ?

Jul 28, 2009 23:06

The other night I taped a documentary which looked promising, and I've watched the first half this evening - it's The Gospel of Caesar, a (Dutch, apparently,) documentary about how Jesus Christ didn't exist, and everything written about him in the Bible is actually about Julius Caesar.

They actually had some very interesting points, like the many parallels between Caesar's and Jezus' last years, from the moment they crossed the rivers Rubicon and Jordan, respectively, until their deaths. Some of the names in the texts bear a striking resemblance as well: Gallia and Galilea, the cities Corfinium and Carphanaum - who appear at the same times in the timelines.

I haven't finished the documentary yet, I'll probably do so tomorrow, but for now I think it's really intriguing. :)

Right. Off to bed, and tomorrow I'm going to the bloodbank again - the semi-monthly appointment to donate plasma.
