Okay, so Ka and I are going to Amsterdam this friday.
It's our capital city, and I've been there, what... four, five times? Oh, perhaps even six!
Anyway - neither of us know our way around there. And we're looking at some of those online route planners, to see how we can best get to the travel agency we have an appointment at (for our trip to Japan, whee~!)
My town has one busline going through it every half hour (in both directions), and two buslines who drive past it, halting at one stop. Ka's town has an even worse connection - one stop, only a couple of times a day.
Amsterdam, though? Dozens of buses, trams, trains and whatnots.
Okay, I'm not a total country girl - there isn't even place here to BE one, with the let's-build-everywhere-whee! mentality of our government. But Amsterdam is somewhat of a step up from Eindhoven, my nearest city. (For one, no trams in Eindhoven! I think I've only been in one of those half a dozen times in my entire life. And several of those times were in London. :D;; )
I can tell you already: chances of us getting lost? HIGH.
(Hee. I wonder what's going to happen once we get in Japan - though for some reason, both of us seem more excited and less worried about that. XD)
