OMG...I hate incompetent people!!!
So, yesterday I decided I would go to the office of students accounts to see why I haven't received my refund check yet. It had been 2 weeks since both my scholarship and my tution check posted to UCF and I was supposed to get a refund check for the amount of my bright futures direct deposited, which I hadn't yet. Anyway...I got to the office and they tell me that they hold personal checks for 21 days before they are processed. Which is funny because my tution check came from my college fund, it wasn't a personal check. So, she called someone and then she told me that she would put in a refund request for me and see what they could do and if they couldn't do anything it'd just have to wait the 21 days. wtf.
Anyway...I check Polaris this morning and guess what was posted yesterday. Yup, that's right, my refund check. I'm so glad I decided to go over there and check on it. Who knows how long they would've kept my money for. Is it really that hard to tell the difference between a personal check and any other? I mean, geez, I've been going here 4 yrs. now and all the sudden they can't tell the difference. Whatever. It's not even like I need the money right away...it's just very annoying. Blah.
