life altering
Wow. in the last six hours way too much has happened.
So I'm getting braces. i figure that the benefits of teh long term long outweigh the short term, even though high school unfortunately only lasts once, after which underage tang is essentially illegal. Pity.
It's funny though; the orthodontist just sat up there talking about honors and royalties and everything with very little regard to my actual teeth. I actually have a rather decent set of teeth; the upper being much preferred over the lower. In addition to the gap in the front of my bottom two teeth (which creates no gaps in the surrounding teeth), I actual have a fourth molar, bottom left side, which has actually grown in at about 50 degrees off of what it should be.
Of course, there's always room for improvement.
The second thing is an orientation thing that happens all day tomorrow and a next day, once again reaching back to short term versus long term. It's for a GIS job, a Geographical Information Systems summer opportunity. Basically I get to map out anchorage, something I am incredibly interested in anyway (both the SimCity style of mapping and, well, anchorage). It will probably turn out to be a data entry job, but oh well. The bad news is, this skews my weeks plans even more.
