Christmas is over,
Boxmas is over too.
Both pretty good.
Discovered the joys of sloe gin... those of you who have been paying attention to this journal will remember I picked a load of sloes around October and made them into sloe gin. At least I probably wrote about it. If you remember it and I didn't write about it well done.That telekinesis thing we have going is working well huh? Actually that should be telepathy shouldn't it?
Anyway, turns out sloe gin tastes great. Next year I think I'll pick twice as many sloes. Tastes kind of like cherry liquor, which ironically I don't really like, or at least I didnt last time I tried.
Going to use the now redundant sloes which were soaking in the gin into sloe gin chutney tomorrow.
Bought a cherry stoner today, partly to satisfy my kitchenalia lust, and partly because stoning the sloes would take for ever and I'd be shit at it.
But... it turns out the cherry stoner is too big for sloes.
So tomorrow I'm going to experiment with a cordless drill and a sacrificial measuring spoon in an attempt to remedy this. sure to be good
