I'm a rocker.  I rock out.

Guitar Hero has invaded my subconscious.

In my idle hours I can think of nothing but the fret combinations required for a perfect rendition of QOTSA's No One Knows, or the pull-offs that will let me pull off Stevie Ray Vaughan's Texas Flood.  I played it for but one blissful day, in a haze of gaming and alcohol, before deciding that it must be had, regardless of the cost.  The cost was $250, all up, and it has been worth every cent.

Even Dad, who refuses to admit that there have been any games of merit since Space Invaders, was keen to keep on playing after going through the tutorials.  The guy at Cash Converters I bought the PS2 from let me test the game out on the system before leaving, and decided that he too must own this game after seeing it in action.  The guys who made it clearly love music like nothing else on this planet, and also happen to be an extremely talented group of artists, both in the auditory and visual sense, and all their effort just comes out when you play it.  Do people wish to check it out?  I am more than willing to share the love!

I was gonna write more about things that aren't videogames, but that will have to wait for another entry because it's 3am, and all efforts to write coherently are failing me.  Next time, Gadget!
