Oh man! It's been forever since I wrote a journal entry, and even longer since I drew a comic (even if it is just a single frame), so I says to myself, "Hey Tim!" "Yeah?" I reply, looking around for the devilishly handsome lad who just spoke. "How 'bout you do both at once?" "Whoa! Good idea! No wonder you're so awesome!" I then high-fived myself. It looked like I was just sorta clapping above my head, but it was a high five. Trust me.
You know, if I had a dollar for every time I have drawn Huw holding a can of beer, I would probably have about 50 bucks. This money would be wisely invested on more beer, specifically a case of Beck's. Then I would most likely go over to Huw's and share it with him, thus creating more inspiration to draw upon. However, until these hypothetical transactions take place, he'll just have to make do with that old can of EB I found at the back of the fridge. While you scroll up to check that he is indeed holding an EB can, please note that he is also observing Buffalo Club rules. There's no real significance in that, but there you have it.
As the comic suggests, I did actually sleep in the other day. Whether this has something to do with Warcraft 3 or not is for the courts to decide, but at present the record shows that I was an hour late for work. I'd been working a lot of nights for the past two weeks and had been having to go to sleep after about 5am each night. Having to transition to waking up at 5am instead wasn't easy. When I finally got in, all of the highest level staff members were right there, because there was a huge (and important) conference coming in and they like to make sure those things go as smoothly as possible. Well, fucksticks.
The thing is, I am constantly having nightmares about being late for work. They will typically involve having to traverse large distances by foot to retrieve my car, then hours upon hours will suddenly disappear unexplained, as they have a habit of doing in dreams. This was pretty much my worst imaginings brought to life, but in actual fact I wasn't even chastised for it; just told to relax and get to work. They haven't even mentioned anything about it to me yet. Well, I'm not complaining. Maybe it will teach them a valuable lesson about making me do mornings right after putting me on night shift after night shift. It's just not feasible.
In other news, I found a
Bookcrossing book on Saturday! It is called
The Alexandria Quartet. Well, I didn't find it, my coworker Carl did, but he didn't know what the dilly-o was with Bookcrossing so it is mine now.
Anyway, that's enough writing for now. Catch y'all!
