sure! ^^ bobthewizard July 26 2010, 07:33:49 UTC
..Yes, thank you. Professor Reid was kind enough to retrieve my journal from Peeves's tender care, so everything's fine now.

I see. I'm glad that everything is okay. Although if it's not too forward to ask, who is Peeves?

You haven't run into Peeves yet? Well, you have been lucky. He's our resident poltergeist: comes with the building. If you've seen a wizened little squirt in obscenely loud dress hovering about and cackling and possibly dropping eggs in your hair, that's him.

Come to think of it, he's been too quiet lately. We were about due for a breakout.

I-- I haven't come across anything of the sort. Perhaps I am lucky. And you... did just say 'him' and 'dress' in the same sentence as if he's wearing one, correct?

I-- see. My apologizes for you becoming the target of this 'outbreak' even though there's nothing I can actually apologize for.

Extremely lucky! -- Oh.... in my day, 'dress' was a generic term meaning 'clothing'; it's survived as 'fancy dress', but the usage is a bit archaic.

*awwww.* Nothing at all. But the sentiment is appreciated all the same.

Oh... all right. I understand it now. But I will keep an eye out for him.

Is your journal the other thing that has suffered?

Good idea.

Thus far -- I can't vouch for the rest of the castle, of course. Mr. Filch might find some reasons to fret when he returns from his weekend.

Mr. Filch? I feel as if I should know who you're speaking of.

Caretaker, somewhat grizzled?

[[I've just been kind of assuming that Filch and Peeves are in the castle as usual, NPCs like Dumbledore.]]

I find it strange that I haven't come across some of these people. Although, I do have to admit most times I keep to myself.

{Sounds good to me}

Well, Filch is easy to miss if you don't dirty up his floors. I'm surprised you haven't run across Peeves, though. He tends to get everywhere; that's why my office and classroom are warded against poltergeists. That was a job of work, I can tell you.

I can imagine. I'm surprised as well considering all the things you've mentioned. Perhaps, I'll do something about it when I return. I did show up late in the school year.

Good luck. An extra mind or two on the problem is always welcome.

How have your journeys treated you so far?

Thank you.

Well enough. I can't complain.
