Spencer happened to be walking through the front hall towards his office when he saw Bob staring outside in a panic.

"Hey Bob... what's going on?"

[always here to help LOL]

*frustrated sigh, points at the giant front doors* Peeves. He seems to think my journal could do with a dunk in the lake.

[[Yay!~~~]]

Spencer sighed.

"I'm not really sure why Peeves still resides here..."

He pulled out his wand and pointed it in the direction of the lake.

"Accio journal."

"He's like a fungus; even the Headmaster can't get rid of him."

There was a wail from the waterside, and Bob's journal hurtled back up the slope and through the doors.

"That must be one exceedingly powerful poltergeist."

He stared down at Bob's soaking wet journal. Spencer waved his wand and a steam of hot air flowed from the end of it, in an attempt to dry Bob's journal.

"Just a stubborn one. True poltergeists have several distinctive differences from ghosts, and the Spirit Division tends to concentrate its energies on the dead rather than the unliving. -- That should do it; I'm obliged to you."

A string of curses filtered in from the outside, and Bob glanced at the door and half smiled. "If you shut that, he'll have to go round the back and might find something else to distract him."

He flicked his wand and the door closed.

"Admittedly I'm not as up on ghosts and spirits as I should be. I should perhaps try to find some books in the library."

He glanced up at Bob.

"I was quite scared of ghosts when I was a child."

"You? Really?" Spencer certainly hadn't shown signs of a phobia before.

"Yes... I hadn't ever actually seen a ghost in person before I came to school here. I wasn't quite prepared for them. The Bloody Baron especially used to frighten me. I used to run from him whenever I saw him. Even the Grey Lady was scary, though I got more used to her because she seemed to follow me a lot, especially as I got older. It was very odd. She never spoke to me, and of course I was too frightened to say anything to her either. At that point it wasn't so much because she was a ghost... more because she was a girl."

He laughed slightly.

[oh homeboy has phobias.. he's afraid of the dark! XD]
