Charlie's confusion painted over the hurt on his face momentarily, then so suddenly melted into surprise.
Colby grabbed ahold of Charlie's chin and stepped into his space. He maneuvered himself just so his forehead was resting on Charlie's, taking in the familiar heavenly scent. Feeling the closeness. He'd want to remember this, memorize the heat of Charlie, because this moment wouldn't last.
"I'm... " Charlie breathed hard, and made that slight smacking sound that comes from a suddenly dry mouth. "I'm... engaged to Amita," his voice barely audible.
But he doesn't move away.
