In Which the World is Smaller Than Expected

So I started work at Volpe Cycles yesterday. It's pretty chill; basically, it's like being back at the shop at school, only the repair area is smaller, and I'm getting paid real money to work there. My boss is a pretty chill guy, and most of my shift was equally chill until suddenly there were a million things to do and only two people in the shop. But yeah, if you're in Philly and need your bike repaired, we're a pretty awesome place to go, especially since we guarantee our work for 6 months.

Anyhow, last Friday I had to stop in and fill out some paperwork to get on the payroll, at which point I discovered that one of my coworkers at the shop used to work for Phillips Casting, the foundry up in Germantown where I worked for a summer in 2004. Not only that, but she worked there during the summer of 2004. Crazy, right? We worked with the same people, but on different days, so we never really saw each other. Which, so far, is how it's working out at Volpe, too. I'm just hoping that I can pick up some more hours once I've proved myself to be a good, reliable mechanic.
