This is just a very broad general all-encompassing statement.

I'm pretty sure everyone is equally fucked up.

It's my belief that everybody has some severe issues, insecurities or other sorts of problems. The trouble is that our society encourages us to hide our problems (except for your occasional attention whore, of whom we all know a few) so everybody thinks they are the ONLY one with problems, which adds to the issues a person has. It's a self-perpetuating problem in our society.

This is all kind of common sense, but it's not something most people consider. So the next time you feel really crappy about yourself for whatever reason, just tell yourself "Hey, I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people who have it worse than me, or are at least in the same boat as me." Nobody is alone in their suffering. Commiseration is universal. It sounds depressing until you really think about it.
