This really awesome movie I read about in the Washington Post opens on Friday at the Landmark E Street Theater.. or something like that. Anyone ever been, or know where it is? I work Fridays, but hopefully I'll get a chance to see it soon. Check it out:
"Night Watch
With visuals reminiscent of Hollywood movies such as "Blade" and "Underworld," this Russian film is the first of a trilogy based on the best-selling sci-fi novels of Sergei Lukyanenko. It follows the undercover members of the Night Watch, an organization that has policed the world's Dark Ones--vampires, witches, shape-shifters and sorcerers--for centuries, and contends with the Day Watch, a counterpart organization from the other side that keeps an eye on them. Set in a fang-filled contemporary Moscow, the flick struck a chord with real-life Muscovites too, setting a box-office record in 2004 as the highest grossing film in post-Soviet history..." Blah blah blah. The last line tells where it's at.
So, basically, it's a foreign film that is right up my alley. Oh baby. Does it sound interesting to anyone else, or am I just a weirdo? =/
