yeah. the day after christmas vacation is probably the second best day of the year. followed by the day after february vacation. which is followed by the day after april vacation. the best day of the year, obviously, of course, seeing as how it goes without saying, is the day after summer vacation! woo hoo. anyway, vacation is over, and i. am. pumped. well, not really, but this vacation kinda sucked. it was okay, but i spent many a night trying to find something to do instead of actually doing something. whatev. christmas was good, i got some pretty cool stuff, including ish for my darkroom that i'm putting in my basement! that'll be awesome.
i took juliana into boston for her birthday on thursday and we got dinner and went to the the trans-siberian orchestra at the fleet center. prrrrobably the best live show that i've ever been to. it was so insane. they are so much better live than on the cds, not to say that their cds are bad, but they're just that good in concert. they did a nice little rendition of stairway and immigrant song, and toward the end they played some of beethoven's ninth, with balls (hehe) of fire coming up from behind the stage that were so strong that you could feel the heat on your face from your seat. i'm definitely going back next year.
anyway new year's eve was all right, i went to richie's house with juliana and we watched napoleon dynamite which has got to be one of the funniest movies of all time. i didn't get to celebrate crunkmas with the gang, so that was saddening, but hey, what can ya do. made up holidays can be celebrated any time of the year.
i'm planning a barnes & noble day this saturday, so let me know if you want to come spend like 7 hours at barnes & noble if you have nothing better to do. not that there are many better things to do than that. come in your own car if you feel like coming but you don't want to stay the whole time. it should be awesome. barnes & noble is awesome.
