Looking forward to tomorrow

I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. I had planned on going to the airport to get Becky, who's coming home from Argentina (yay!). But then she wrote and said that Pete could pick her up, so if I wanted to go up to hear Sarah in Maine, I could. So I get to see both daughters tomorrow, and that makes me very happy.

Sarah's a senior (soon to be an alumni) at Gardiner Area High School in Gardiner, Maine. This is Senior Week, leading up to the graduation this Saturday. Last Sunday, we drove up to Gardiner to attend a Baccalaureate service. Tomorrow is Senior Day. There will be speeches by the top students, including Sarah. She's number 6 out of about 200. She's a little nervous about the speech, but I know she'll do just fine. I have to get up pretty early in order to make the 8 AM event. I'll get up at 5, shower and hit the road. Saturday we'll be driving up again to attend the graduation, and we'll stay over night in Augusta.

Now Becky has been in Buenos Aires since February, getting certified to teach English as a second Language, taking a Spanish course, and having two jobs - one teaching English, the other tutoring a student studying for the SAT. It's been quite an experience for her. She's also turned into quite a writer; check out her journal (duckaroo). I had forgotten how long a flight it is back to the U.S. I called her tonight, and one of her friends answered (she forgot her cell phone). She had already left for the airport. She's on her way..... :-)
