W00t! Starting March 27th, I will begin classes at the main Columbus campus of OSU. I’m a full fledged buckeye now. I’m still taking classes at the Newark campus, but a general chemistry class I desperately want to take this quarter is only offered at the central campus. It’s now considered the largest college campus in the USA (UT Austin was biggest, but we got bigger). Luckily, my disabled parking status entitles me to park anywhere I want - garages (normally obtained though a lottery and paying $200 per quarter), faculty parking - anywhere. Luckily there's a nice gate controlled garage right next to the buildings I'll be in spring quarter. Having that extra 30 minutes to get a nice cup of coffee before my 8:15am lectures will be nice, and I'm sure will give me a nice perky edge over my peers. (yes, I've taken a liking to early morning classes)
In addition to College Algebra/Trig (taken at Newark) and Anthropology (Newark) will be this monster chemistry class at main campus. I have to go to main campus 5 days per week for this one class. M W F is lecture (290 of us). Tues is lab, and Thursday is “recitation” where they split us off into smaller classes to go over the lecture material for the week, turn in homework, etc. I’ll post my winter quarter grades later this week - today is my last winter final (statistics). So far I’m expecting a B in Psych, A in sociology, and A- or B+ in stats. Actually my Psych grade posted, so I'm cetain it's a B. :-)
I’m really looking forward to spring quarter as it’s mostly all science, and I’ve taken a liking to science (yes, they looked at me like a three-eyed octopus when I was saying I desperately wanted to take chemistry! LOL).
