I Believe I Owe an Update

Oct 11, 2005 22:40

Well I believe an update is in order since I pretty much disappeared from the face of the earth for a while. I thought that this would be the best way to communicate to the masses. A lot has happened so I am going to try to keep it short and simple.

As most already know I am no longer attending Smith College. I am now taking 12 credits at UNH. it looks as if I may be staying at UNH for a bit longer as there are more opportunities for me here. UNH is going well. Classes are fun. The work load is a lot lighter than it was at Smith.

I've moved to Portsmouth. I am finally out of my mom's house and financially independent. I gave up my cell phone and payed off any remaining debts. Yet for some reason I am still hauling the sisters around to their appointments every once in a while.

I am moving out of Portsmouth sometime before November 1st. A friend of ours (myself and my roomy) is taking us in. Let's just say rent fell behind and Portsmouth is falling apart. Besides living here is costing way more than it should. So I will be off to Dover and hopefully we will save enough money up to stay there. I guess we have perfect timing because our friend's partner is leaving for a month to help a friend build a house and she needs help with her child. She needs someone to be there for him when he gets home from school because she works during the day.

Anyways things are going well. I'm doing well is school. My relationship with my mother is much improving. We are much more open with each other and things are going smoothly. It is a good thing that I moved out. She finally is treating me as an adult and is thankful for my help. And it is good not to be under her complete control anymore. I'm becoming an adult and she understands that and supports me in what I am trying to accomplish. Other relationships aren't doing as well. I've pretty much lost contact with anyone not living in NH. It's hard to balance things now with no phone and a busy schedule but it is manageable.

My quality of life and my over all stability has improved ten fold. Speaking of such I am in the process of quitting smoking. Thankfully I have the help of a friend but I am now down to about 3-6 cigarettes a day. Compared to the almost pack a day I was smoking during parts of the summer I think I am doing quite well. Soon that goal will also be accomplished.

Well it is off to bed in a moment. Thankfully I get to sleep in for a bit tomorrow. But I should wake up and do my homework that is due Thursday. Yes, I am actually doing my homework before it is due! Things are not done as last minute anymore. Yay me! Well nighty night for now. Oh and if one needs to reach me for any reason like I said, I no longer have a cell phone but I check online stuff frequently. I check myspace, friendster, facebook and my gmail account often. So feel free to get ahold of me there!

I hope all is going well for everyone else. Until Later.
