Evets
Well, I thought of an idea for a D&D campaign. But since I am going to boot camp soon, I will not be able to use it. So I am going to post it here for any DMs out there that want to use it.
A ancient green dragon, named Evets, add the Xorvintaal template(MM5, pg.43). With the following abilities: Alternate form, Deep breath, Draconic roar, Energy aura, Rejuvination. Which adds 4 to its CR.
Evets's has a plan to slowly take over the kingdom. It uses its Exarchs(MM5, pg.47) in key places to start a rebellion. Also some of the Exarchs are on the government's side saying to send the army after any sign of rebellion. Which will cause sympathy for the rebellion. After the dragon loots the kingdom, it will kill any potential wise/good rulers then leave. Just to watch the kingdom flounder and die.
The group's role will probably be that they heard that someone is trying to take over the kingdom, and are suppose to investigate/stop whoever it is. They wouldn't know that a dragon is behind it, at least not at first.
