(no subject)
Thursday, I got out of work , and met up with Jeremy over at Marco's to hang out and have a few drinks before we went to Embassy to celebrate Rafa's 30th. We chatted and hung out, which was nice. Some quality "Jeremy" time as I call it. Hmm, we have about 4 vodka/red bulls and I was feeling good. Marco came home for a quick costume change, and we were out the door to Embassy. We met up with Ed, Rafa, Conchitta, Mario, et al and of course had some more drinks, and some dancing, etc. Ran into a few people we knew. I haven't been to Embassy in ages. But of couse I got no sleep. Now that I'm 29, I'm no longer able to part like Stevie Nicks.
Cut to 8:20am on Friday. Bob running late for work. Didn't shower, run to work and muddled through a 6 hour shift. Tired. Cranky, etc. Got out at 3, and then came home to relax a bit before DANNY and DENNIS came up. They decided to come up for the weekend to hang out with us, which was nice. They arrived around 8:30 and we headed over to Tremont 647 for dinner. I had (now understand I had been on a good diet all week) crab gnocci, seared raw tuna steak, and a lovely ice cream cookie sandwich. After dinner, we came back to watch High School Musical 2, which sadly I feel asleep during the middle of.
Saturday morning, Dennis and I woke up around 7:15, and we took his car for a spin to get a car wash and an inspection. Afterwards, we went downstairs to hang out with Peter and Bryan in their apartment. Dennis, Danny, Jeremy and I had lunch at Pop's on Tremont St. I loved the ambience. We ate in the back section, which is this little solarium like area in the back of the brownstone. I had a burger and fries. (Bad Bob). We then walked around Newbury St, did a little light shopping, and came back to rest for a bit. John came home (tipsy) from his week of debauchery in Ptown, and Rob (the new Emily) came over to move in. For those who haven't been following at home, Rob took the little room upstairs when Peter and Bryan moved downstairs. Adam stopped over too. It took us so long to decide on dinner, that we actually just ordered a few pizzas and hung out at our place before heading over to Ed and Rafa's.
Casa de Ed y Rafa. Imagine my surprise to walk into Ed and Rafa's to find Justin the bartender bartending the event. That was AWESOME! Saw everyone. Such as Pallavi, Lauren, Lisa, Jed, Jon, Paul, Eric, Tony Ray, etc. But that's where the night gets fuzzy.
I remember dancing, a cab, kissing Lauren, the dancefloor. That's about it. Then, I woke up next to Dennis at home with a bloody calf, and the stylus missing from my phone. From what I could piece together, I spent most of the night dancing, kissing. I Bob danced so hard that I hit an asian kid in the face, and I fell on this other kid, who yelled at me and pushed me, so Marco pushed him on the floor. Good times. Oh, and also, I guess I danced on the box, doing the Y.M.C.A. And correct, they were not playing the YMCA song. Draw your own conclusions on that one.
Surprising, though I don't remember most of the night, I woke up around 8:30, in a good state. Dennis and I ran and jumped on Danny and Rob. We went downstairs for coffee. Lunch at Cheesecake Factory (CRAB CAKES!!!) and then came home to relax. Tonight we're having our weekly family dinner downstairs. Cheesy Grits, Key Lime Pie, meatballs, etc.
I just wanted to say that I had a fantastic weekend. It was so nice to see everyone and hang out. I had a busy weekend, but one of those weekends you don't mind, because you get to hang out with friends.
A special What-What to Dennis for buying me all those drinks at Avalon (from what I'm told). Danny for coming from Philly.
